There are new, unexpected (and highly revealing) developments in the campaign to destroy the Washington, D.C. institution that publishes this news paper.
Exclusive to The SPOTLIGHT By Sanford GriffithWhat were thought to be the final legal negotiations between Liberty Lobby and the California-based conspirators who have worked relentlessly to destroy your populist Institution collapsed on May 16.
The conspirators rejected Liberty Lobby’s final generous offer to settle the still-unresolved conflict resulting from an unwarranted 1996 court judgment the conspirators orchestrated against Liberty Lobby.
Although Liberty Lobby’s West Coast counsel, J. Brian Urtnowski, had been led to believe the matter was soon to be resolved, Bryan Sampson — the attorney representing Greg Raven, Mark Weber, et al — gave surprise notice to Urtnowski that Raven, after consulting with his unnamed backers, had refused Liberty Lobby’s substantial settlement offer which would have provided payments to Raven and his backers on a regular schedule totaling over $2 million.
In the meantime, Sampson — in an apparent effort to frighten Urtnowski into offering more money — said that he had already been approached by a representative of the Anti-Defamation League of B’nai B’rith (ADL) to buy the name, Liberty Lobby

Sampson found the offer hilarious and intends to sell the respected name to the ADL as soon as he gets legal
authority to do so. Fortunately, this authority is not liable to be given Sampson for at least another two months.
In December, prompted by a motion by Sampson, San Diego County Superior Court Judge Runston Maino unilaterally abrogated the earlier settlement agreement between Liberty Lobby and the conspirators.
On June 6, Liberty Lobby attorney Thomas Stanton will appear before Judge S. Martin Teel, Jr. of the Federal Bankruptcy Court for the District of Columbia to ask Teel to void Maino’s extraordinary actions and rule that the original agreement between Liberty Lobby and Raven is still in effect.
Liberty Lobby Chairman Vince Ryan has suggested to all supporters that all funds meant for pledges to Liberty Lobby or other financial support or to renew subscriptions to The SPOTLIGHT be sent to the independent organization, Friends of The SPOTLIGHT and Liberty Lobby, P.O. Box 41869, Arlington, VA 22204. Checks may be made payable to Friends.
Other wise, checks could be seized and used for other purposes entirely contrary to the wishes of the donor.
